Can I plan intercropping in Heirloom?

Yes, you can! While a dedicated intercropping feature is not yet available, you can use a workaround in the Crop Map.

Here’s how:

  1. Adjust Planting Amount: In your Game Plan, change the planting amount for each crop to reflect the portion of the bed it will occupy. For example, if you’re intercropping tomatoes and basil, you might allocate 0.9 of a bed for tomatoes and 0.1 for basil.
  2. Place on Crop Map: Place both crops onto the same block in your Crop Map. This visually represents them sharing the same space. Tip: Some users create “virtual” beds next to their real beds in the Crop Map to represent intercropping more clearly. For example, they might label beds “Block #1a” and “Block #1b” to show the intercropped plants in the same block.

A full intercropping feature is planned for future development, which will make this process even easier.
