Flower Farming
Planning for Perennials

While Heirloom is currently optimized for annual crops, we understand the importance of managing perennials on your flower farm. Until we release a dedicated feature for perennials, this tutorial provides a simple workaround to seamlessly incorporate your long-lived blooms into your overall farm plan.

Steps to Manage Perennials

  • Add to Game Plan: Start by adding your perennial flower crops to your Game Plan. Specify the planting details, such as the number of plants, spacing, and any relevant tasks.
  • Copy Planting: To make the planting recurrent, simply copy the planting to subsequent farming years. This ensures that your perennials are included in your plan year after year.
  • Assign in Crop Map: In the Crop Map, assign the perennial planting to the same block and bed each year. This visually represents the perennial’s permanent location on your farm.

By following these simple steps, you can effectively manage your perennial flower crops within Heirloom, ensuring they are incorporated into your overall farm plan and tracked alongside your annuals.
