The Sales Channels feature in Heirloom’s Harvests module is designed to help small-scale farmers organize their work more effectively, manage harvests by client, and ensure that tasks are accurately generated.
Creating A Sales Channel
When setting up a sales channel in Heirloom, you can specify:
- Name: Assign a unique name to each sales channel for easy identification.
- Harvest Days: Select the specific days of the week when harvests need to be conducted (as shown in the attached image).
- Operational Timeline: Define the start and end dates for the sales channel, which could cover the entire year or a specific period (e.g., from January 1st to December 31st for year-round markets).
- Type of Sales Channel: Assign a type to each channel, such as farmers’ market, restaurant, or any other customer type.
Managing Sales Channels
Managing Multiple Sales Channels Heirloom allows you to create and manage multiple sales channels, which is particularly useful if you are selling at several farmers’ markets or supplying various restaurants. Each channel can be independently managed, ensuring that your harvest schedule is well-organized and aligned with the demands of each outlet.
Search and Sorting Capabilities The Sales Channels tab is equipped with features to help you quickly navigate and manage your channels:
- Search Box: Easily locate a specific sales channel by typing its name into the search box.
- Column Sorting: Click on the column headers to sort your channels by name, type, start date, or end date, allowing for efficient management and review.
Enabling and Disabling Channels
- Enable/Disable Toggle: You can activate or deactivate a sales channel using the toggle switch next to each channel’s name (as shown in the image). This is particularly useful for seasonal markets or when a channel is temporarily inactive.
- Deleting Channels: To remove a sales channel, click on the three dots next to the channel and select “Delete.”
