Notes
Organizing with Tags and File Attachments

This guide covers how to add powerful layers of organization to your notes using custom tags and file attachments. We’ll show you how to categorize your notes for quick filtering and how to attach important files like photos of pest damage or soil test results, creating a complete record all in one place.

Using Tags to Categorize

Tags are like keywords for your farm. In the “Add tags” field of a note, create any tag you need (e.g., Pests, Diseases, Irrigation). This allows you to group related notes together, even if they are linked to different crops or blocks.

Tags allow you to group related notes together.

Attaching Files for a Complete Picture

Click the “Select Files” button to upload photos, PDFs, or other documents. Now, that photo of beetle damage on your potatoes or the PDF of your latest soil analysis will live forever with the note you took about it.

Heirloom allows you to upload many types of documents to any note, including pictures. Photo credit Wikimedia.
