Team Management
Collaborating on multiple farms

For growers, consultants, or educators managing multiple farming operations, Heirloom offers a powerful solution to keep everything organized. With Heirloom’s multi-farm management feature, you can access and oversee all your farms from a single, centralized dashboard.

Accessing the “Manage My Farms” Section

To manage your multiple farms, you’ll first need to access the dedicated section within Heirloom. Click on the name of your currently active farm, which is displayed in the top left corner of the screen under the Heirloom logo. This will open a dropdown menu. Select “Manage Farms” from the list of options.

Clicking on the name of your currently active farm will open a dropdown menu.

Viewing Your Farms

The “Manage Farms” page provides an overview of all the farms associated with your Heirloom account. For each farm, you’ll see:

  • Farm Name: The name of the farm.
  • Address: The physical location of the farm.
  • State: The current state of the farm. This could be “Active” if the farm is currently in use or “Onboarding” if it’s still being set up.
  • Role: Your designated role within that specific farm (e.g., Owner, Administrator, Crew Manager).

Switching between farms

There are two ways to switch between the farms you have access to.

  • You can either click on one of the farms in the dropdown menu under Heirloom’s logo.
  • Or on the “Manage Farms” page, you can click on “Switch to this farm”.

Switching between farms will redirect you to the farm’s dashboard; or if it’s still in “onboarding” state, you will be redirected to the onboarding page  where you can answer all the questions from the onboarding process.

Leaving a Farm

If you no longer need to manage a particular farm, you can choose to leave it. Here’s how:

  • Find the farm you wish to leave in the list.
  • Click the red “Leave this Farm” button next to the farm name.
  • A confirmation pop-up window will appear to ensure you want to leave the farm. Click the “Confirm” button to confirm.

Note:

  • You cannot leave a farm for which you have the “Owner” role. You can only delete this farm (see below).
  • Once you leave a farm, you’ll no longer have access to its data or the ability to manage its operations. If you need to rejoin the farm later, you’ll need to be re-invited by the farm owner.
Click the "Confirm" button to confirm.

Deleting a Farm

As the farm owner, you have the power to delete a farm entirely. However, there are a couple of important considerations:

  • You can only delete farms where you have the Owner role.
  • You cannot delete the very last farm associated with your account. Heirloom requires you to have at least one active farm connected to your account. If you absolutely need to delete your last remaining farm, you’ll need to create a new one first, then return to the “Manage Farms” section to delete the old one.

Here’s how to delete a farm:

  • Click the three dots to the right of the farm name. This will reveal a dropdown menu with various actions.
  • Choose the “Delete Farm” option from the dropdown menu.
  • A pop-up window will appear to confirm your decision. If you’re certain about deleting the farm, enter your account’s password and click the “Confirm” button.

Important Considerations

  • Currently, you can own up to 5 farms per account. However, you can collaborate on an unlimited number of farms. If you need to manage more than 5 farms, feel free to reach out to our support team, and we’ll gladly assist you.
  • Each farm is typically treated as a separate entity for billing purposes. Keep this in mind when creating new farms, as you’ll likely need to manage subscriptions and payments for each one individually.
