Your interactive Crop Map is now available on the Heirloom mobile app. Easily view your field layout, check planting succession, and make decisions while you’re out in the field.

 Recurring Tasks for Plantings

Save time managing routine work. You can now set recurring tasks, like weeding, for any planting. Set it up once, and we’ll handle the rest.

 Full Tablet Support (iPad & Android)

Our new workload graph is now measured in hours, giving you a much clearer picture of your week-to-week tasks. This means you can anticipate busy periods, manage your team more effectively, and ensure you have the time you need for every critical task.

You can now assign time estimates in your task chart for key activities for each crop, including: Implantation, Nursery and Harvest

We’ve Done Some of the Work for You

To get you started, we’ve added default time estimates for most tasks. These are based on general averages and are a great starting point.

A quick heads-up

We highly recommend you and your team review these default values in the tasks list. Every farm is unique, and your experience is what will make these estimates truly accurate for your operation. To improve accuracy, be sure to update the planting, harvest, and nursery details for each crop you’re planning to grow on the task chart page. You’ll notice that most tasks now display an estimated duration. This estimate comes from the task chart if a specific value is set for the crop. If no crop-specific value is available, a more general estimate defined for the task is used instead.

Game Plan

• Cancel Plantings: You can now cancel a planting. Canceled plantings remain visible in your planning but no longer contribute to your seasonal yield. Associated tasks will also be marked as canceled.

Crop Family

• Crop Families Introduced: Crop families are now officially part of Heirloom.

Crop Map

• Crop Family View: A new option lets you display crop families instead of individual crop colors in the crop map.

• Seasonal Layouts: Each season can now have its own unique layout. Changing the layout will no longer affect previous planning years.

Farm Map

• Disable Field Blocks by Season: You can now disable specific field blocks for the current planting year. Disabled blocks remain visible on the map but are not counted as available space.

Task List

• Export Enhancements: Tasks can now be exported using a custom date range or by selecting a specific week number.

Frost Date

• Auto-Generated Frost Dates: Frost dates can now be automatically generated based on your location.

Bug Fixes

• Weekly Harvest Time Zones: Fixed an issue where users outside North America were seeing harvests appear on the previous day due to time zone discrepancies.

• Seeder Info in Task Export: Fixed a bug where seeder data in task exports was inaccurate if the user had made changes.

• Team Management: New interface and workflows for managing team members and their roles within a farm.
• Multi-Farm Navigation: New workflows and interface to manage multiple farms and switch between them.
• Collaboration: New workflows to allow for collaboration on tasks between team members.
• Week Display in Calendar : All calendar widgets now display the corresponding week for better context.
• Crop Color Customization : You can now change the color of existing crops for improved visual organization.
• Task Notes Visibility : Tasks with notes now display a small icon in the task list and week board, making them easier to spot.
• New “Farm Settings” Page : A new settings page allows you to create custom tasks and define nursery container types. More customization options coming soon!

Bug Fixes

• Seeder Density Calculation : Fixed an issue where the optimal seeder density in direct seeding tasks was incorrect.
• Nursery Container Count : Resolved a rounding error affecting the calculation of required nursery containers.
• French Translations : Corrected several translation errors in the French version of the app.

General

• We’re thrilled to announce the release of our AI Chatbot! Powered by a large language model and our product knowledge base, the chatbot is designed to answer support questions in multiple languages. Please note that the chatbot is currently in beta. While it may occasionally generate inaccurate responses, it will continuously improve over time. This marks the beginning of our AI journey at Heirloom, and you can look forward to exciting new AI-driven features in the coming year.
• Additionally, we’ve introduced a new notification widget. This feature will keep you updated on new functionalities, release notes, and, in the future, serve as a channel for app notifications. Stay tuned!

Settings

• We’ve added a new “Farm Data” section to the settings page! This feature allows you to customize certain data in the app. To start, you can now define custom nursery containers, with more customization options planned for the future. Stay tuned for updates!

Crop List

• Custom Crops: You can now create your own custom crops to better suit your specific needs and preferences.

Game Plan

• “Today” Line Added: A “Today” line has been introduced in the calendar to help you stay on track with your planning.
• Location Type Filter: Filter your plans by location type.
• Auto-Save for New Data: When creating a planting, new crop data will now automatically be saved to your chart if no prior data exists.

Crop Map

• Flexible Planting Assignments: You can now assign plantings to beds that already contain crops, even if the planting spans multiple beds.
  Example: Two plantings for 1.5 beds each can now be placed across 3 consecutive beds.

General

• Yield Chart Sync: The yield chart now syncs with your selected measurement system by default. For instance, if you choose metric, you’ll see results in kilograms (kg), and if you choose imperial, you’ll see them in pounds (lb).

Harvest Module

• Weekly Harvest Planning: Optimize your weekly harvests with enhanced planning tools. Organize by specific days or sales channels, and manage harvest tasks seamlessly through an intuitive interface.
• Task Management: Efficiently track all harvest-related tasks, including packing and shipping, directly within the module.
• Seasonal Harvest Projections: Access full-season harvest projections and compare them against actual yields for improved accuracy and planning.
• Yield Tracking: Monitor yield data for each planting from both the Harvest page and the Game Plan page, ensuring precise yield management.

  • You can now create your own custom task. You can also add a custom description to existing task.
  • We have added the notion of “General task”, which are tasks that are not related to a planting but can be associated with a location
  • We have added the possibilities to defined the average time to execute a task a task at the top level, which will be apply to every crop by default. It can then be override at crop level

  • You can now add ad hoc task in your task list. Ad hoc task will not be synchronized with your planting schedule
